DENSO AUTOMOTIVE Deutschland GmbH was established in January 1984 in Mu­nich (Bavaria) in the South of Germany. Since 1994, the companies key facility has been located in Eching, a large indus­trial area to the North of Munich. The facility occupies an area of 7,800 m2. The company also operates numerous support offices around Germany to provide hands-on support to key clients (details below).

DENSO AUTOMOTIVE Deutschland GmbH develops air conditioning & thermal systems and vehicle components. It also sells starters, alternators, sensors, emission control components as well as engine management system components. In 2003 the company added extensive testing facilities (5,100 m2) including a modern wind tunnel and a car air conditioner testing facility.

In May 2005 the new Aachen Engineering Center commenced operation. It is responsible for powertrain development work, especially for diesel fuel injection system application work, including exhaust gas after-treatment.
