DENSO SALES UK LTD., originally established in 1984, is located in Hatfield, Hertfordshire. approximately 20 miles North of London. In 1993, a development laboratory was opened in Coventry, in the West Midlands. DENSO Sales UK Ltd has seen very rapid growth in the development and sale of thermal systems, powertrain control systems, electronic systems and electrical systems, to a range of original equipment manufacturers, from agricon machinery and motorcycles to prestige cars. In the last financial year sales turnover amounted to more than EUR 560 million.
The head office functions include commercial and engineering liaison for the full range of DENSO products, and support function activities. The Coventry branch office is involved in research, development, design and application engineering for engine management, air-conditioning, intelligent transport and other electronics-based systems, as well as quality assurance and service support with test facilities. Despite being located 80 miles apart, the two sites work very closely together.
DSUK are currently implementing an environmental management system with a view to gaining ISO 14001 accreditation early in 2008.
