DENSO Europe B.V. – the European headquarters of the world’s third largest original parts manufacturer DENSO Corporation – has announced a major expansion to its Air Conditioning component programme for the European aftermarket.

The developments include a new 2006 catalogue and A/C Condenser range extensions, with new packaging and an innovative product authentication system for DENSO compressors following soon.  The introductions form part of DENSO’s continued drive to bring more of its OE expertise to Europe’s thriving aftermarket.

Latif Gau, Product Manager for Air Conditioning at DENSO Europe BV said, “It is our ongoing aim to expand DENSO’s provision to aftermarket customers in Europe.  The Air Conditioning sector, as one of our core specialisms, presents a particularly exciting opportunity.  We have channelled high levels of R&D investment into expanding and refining our aftermarket A/C programme, with the aim of bringing our OE technologies to an even wider audience.“

The first major strategic development for DENSO’s A/C aftermarket programme sees the addition of a new programme of A/C Condensers.  Available since February 2006 via DENSO’s approved distributors (see Where to Buy on http://aftermarket.denso-europe.com), the new range includes 73 innovative OE references and covers applications for major European marques such as VW, Fiat, Audi, Renault, Iveco and MCC.  DENSO’s A/C Compressors programme will also be extended by 38 new part numbers, bringing the total number of references for the range to 170.  The programme covers most major car manufacturers including Audi, Chrysler and Fiat and DC, as well as various new VW part applications.

The complete programme is listed in DENSO’s new 2006 Air Conditioning Components catalogue (ref. DEAC06- 0001), containing clear application tables and comprehensive cross-referencing charts for easy identification.  The catalogue has been available through DENSO and our DENSO distributors since the end of February 2006.

New packaging has also been launched in 2006 for DENSO’s European A/C systems range.  The company plan to introduce an identification system for quality assurance later in the year.

In addition to Compressors and Condensers, DENSO’s OE quality A/C Components programme to the European aftermarket also includes Clutches, Driers and genuine DENSO oil.  DENSO’S growing European Aftermarket portfolio of exceptional, OE quality programmes comprises Spark Plugs, Starters & Alternators, Diesel Parts and Wiper Blades.  A major new OE quality, all-makes Glow Plug aftermarket programme was added in September 2005.
