At the Finance & Accounting department (F&A) of the DENSO European headquarters in Weesp The Netherlands, Petra van Melsen works as an Administrative Assistant. After she finished her Higher General Secondary Education, she signed up for a study at a laboratory education.

After several jobs and courses in the accounting area Petra entered DENSO in 1999 and started at the OE Sales department as a Debtor Controller. After her work ended at OE Sales she was asked to strengthen the F&A department and she still works there with pleasure to this day. Petra is 43 years old, married and mother of two children.

"My main tasks are the control of the debtors, the processing of bank statements and to maintain the several contacts with the European DENSO sales offices", says Petra. "Further there are a lot of other issues which belong to my daily activities. What I like most in my job are the internal and external contacts and to be supportive to the department and therefore to DENSO as a whole. I also like solving problems concerning debtor control".

Off course Petra has challenges within her job at DENSO. What she reckons most interesting is reaching the F&A department’s targets and to assure that problems related to debtor control are being solved in time. 

On this moment Petra is very satisfied with her work at DENSO.
